About
"I build evidence-informed rehabilitation programs from the ground up — drawing on two distinct careers that give me a unique clinical perspective."
Before pursuing athletic therapy, I completed a B.Sc. in Geomatics Engineering at the University of Calgary and built a decade-long parallel career as a fitness instructor, personal trainer, and youth climbing coach under my YouHua Fitness brand. That grounding in biomechanics, coaching methodology, and client communication shapes everything I do clinically.
At Mount Royal University I've advanced through the full CATA competency framework — from foundational to proficient levels — across clinical placements at U of C Sports Medicine, MRU Injury Prevention Clinic, and field coverage with MRU Cougars Volleyball. My practice integrates neuromusculoskeletal evaluation, therapeutic exercise prescription, manual therapy, and modalities, with a specific interest in injury prevention, mental health in sport, and telehealth innovation.
CATA Framework
Evidence-based documentation of progressive development across all seven CATA competency domains.
Journey
A non-linear path: engineering to fitness to athletic therapy — each stage informing the next.
